WRITING

Eric McKeever is an exciting new screenwriter who has penned several award-winning projects. When asked what his “brand” is, his response is Titus Andromedon from “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” meets John Waters. Additionally, he’s written acclaimed adaptations of operas for NYC’s Opera on Tap and Opera Baltimore, and writes the column, “Inside the Industry” and freelance articles for Classical Singer Magazine.

His current projects include being co-librettist for an original jukebox opera created by Rocky Duval entitled “Love is a Bird, Rebellious,” and completing two screenplay scripts. Additionally, he is a writer, creator, and producer of audio fiction podcasts and is a Finalist in the Coletta Preacely-Garcia Diversity Fellowship Program.

As a former opera singer, arts administrator, and teaching artist , Eric performed with opera companies and orchestras in repertoire ranging from new works to the traditional throughout the United States. He can be heard on Bright Shiny Label’s recording of Kamala Sankaram’s Looking at You as well as a soloist in the Aqua Net and Funyuns podcast produced by NYC’s Experiments in Opera.
